I don’t call myself a Superstar now – Shahrukh Khan

At a recent Fashion Event organized by Hindustan Times, most noticeable stars of Bollywood made their presence felt. Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut were few of them.

Shahrukh Khan who was looking quite handsome in his recent ‘Happy New Year’ look revealed that he doesn’t calls him Superstar now as he is more of a hardworking actor. And during this hardwork he sometimes forget that he is a Superstar. Talking about people who make him remember this, he says “Its sweet of those people remembering i used to say that earlier. I was younger than but I am wiser, I am older and I am more hard working now. I wouldn’t say that now that I am Superstar”.

When asked about who is most stylish in Bollywood, Being Diplomatic he said, All the ladies now and models are extremely stylish.

However it was not only SRK who had to answer this Question. Stars like Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Anil Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana also named the celebs in Bollywood whom they consider most stylish. Checkout Below in the video:

Mandira Bedi copies Ellen DeGeneres for her own selfie moment!

Bollywood actor Mandira Bedi has copied Ellen DeGeneres Oscar group selfie at an event in Mumbai on Monday. The picture Mandira posted on social micro-blogging site Twitter included Shah Rukh Khan and filmmakers Kunal Kohli and Punit Malhotra among others.

The ocassion was an event for the unveiling of a watch which is endorsed by Shah Rukh Khan.

Mandira tweeted, “We had our own selfie moment..”

SRK Surprises Abhishek With A Mighty Special Gift

Its always a pleasure to receive surprise gifts from loved ones. It was a happy shock for Abhishek Bachchan when he received a bike, a coveted model costing nearly 12 lakhs at his Juhu Bungalow, according to reports of a leading daily. It was his current co-actor Shah Rukh Khan who made this kind gesture towards the younger Bachchan.

Ever since the birth of his son AbRam as well as the success of Chennai Express, Shah Rukh has been in a rather happy mode. The actor has taken special efforts to mend fences with his co-actors. When it comes to showering love, the actor sure knows how to please a person.The two actors Abhishek and SRK are currently working together for Farah Khan’s next Happy New Year. It is on the sets of this film that the two have bonded well.

In past, there have been rifts between SRK and Amitabh Bachchan. There was also buzz about SRK not being invited for Abhishek-Aishwarya’s wedding and the Superstar being miffed about it. However, it was at photographer Daboo Ratnani’s calendar launch in 2002 that Abhishek and SRK buried the hatchet and got along famously. Having previously worked together in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, it wasn’t difficult to break the ice. This kind gesture of SRK is surely impressive, kudos to him!

Shah Rukh Khan to make a guest appearance in Youngistaan?

While all the shooting of debutant director Syed Ahmed Afzal’s Youngistaan featuring Jackky Bhagnani as a young dynamic prime minister is nearly complete, one crucial sequence remains to be filmed.

It’s a scene featuring Shah Rukh Khan. An integral part of the script, the scene was written into the plot from its inception. Apparently the film’s prime-minister protagonist’s girlfriend, played by Neha Sharma, is a diehard Shah Rukh Khan fan.

The scene requires the very dynamic prime minister to arrange a quiet surprise meeting between his girlfriend and her celluloid crush.

In fact the scene to feature Jackky, Neha, and Jackky’s screen-mentor Farooq Sheikh was shot without Shah Rukh just before Farooq’s death.

Says a source, “Shah Rukh’s scene in Youngistaan is important. He comes in at a crucial moment in the plot for a cute cameo. So sure were producer Vashu Bhagnani and his leading man Jackky of getting Shah Rukh for the role that they shot the sequence on Farooq’s insistence just before his death. The scene was done with the idea of filling in Shah Rukh’s shots later.”

Alarmingly the film’s release is now a month away. Shah Rukh is yet to find the time to do the scene.

Says the source, “Vashu and Shah Rukh share a warm rapport. In fact Shah Rukh generously gave Vashu the title Rangrezz which was the property of Shah Rukh’s production house. There is no doubt that Shah Rukh wants to do the needful. But the dates are a problem.”

It is at the moment unclear how the SRK factor would pan out in Youngistaan.

Producer Vashu Bhagnani says, “Yes, there is a scene where a major superstar is to appear. But I can’t confirm who he is until it happens.”

Earlier Dibakar Banerjee had written a cameo specially for Ranbir Kapoor playing himself in Bombay Talkies. After waiting till the final hours before release Dibakar had to shoot the scene with a duplicate. A similar no-show happened when Emraan Hashmi was to appear as himself in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja.

In sharp contrast the Big B very generously played himself in a Kannada film Amrithadhare in which a hero had to fulfil his dying wife’s last wish to meet the Big B.

The Big B not only readily agreed to play the role-his only appearance in a South Indian film-he refused to charge any money for the friendly appearance.

Shah Rukh Khan has done the maximum number of cameos and “friendly appearances” to help out friends and aspirants. In all he has done cameo appearances in 26 films so far.

Youngistaan would be Shah Rukh Khan’s 27th guest appearance.

 

Shahrukh Khan’s Fan will release on 23rd Jan 2015?

 

Piece of information just arrives that SRK’s next after ‘Happy New Year’ titled ‘Fan’ will release on 23rd Jan 2015 and will have 4 day extended weekend.  However it doesn’t looks to be really happening because we have just seen results of Salman Khan‘s ‘Jai Ho’ that released on Non Holiday. Though their are claims that it will be benefited due to extended weekend as Republic day falls on Monday, but again SRK may not be agree because he has done everything to get his films on holidays in past.  Moreover, SRK is currently under rest because of suffering severe injury recently. He may not be able to start and end the film so early so that it can make up in early 2015.

SRK Suffered From A Shoulder Fracture; Advised 3 Weeks Of Bed Rest

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been advised complete bed rest following the accident on the sets of Happy New Year. Though it was earlier presumed that the actor had scraped off with minor injuries, he was later taken back to Nanavati Hospital after shooting for further tests on Thursday night.

Newer reports prove that SRK suffered from a shoulder fracture and his left knee’s patella tendon is torn. The doctors have advised him to take complete bed rest for a few weeks before he resumes shooting for the Farah Khan directorial.

Official Statement About SRK’s Head Injury On The Sets Of Happy New Year

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was admitted into Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai after he suffered an injury while shooting for Happy New Year. The film that is now in its second schedule is a Farah Khan directorial. SRK was shooting in Juhu’s J.W Marriott when the hotel door crashed on the actor.

The actor’s bodyguard informed that the injury isn’t major. Apparently, the door fell on his face and hands. The actor was bleeding when he was rushed to Nanavati Hospital. He is currently being checked up by the doctors on call at the hospital.

The star’s wife Gauri Khan rushed to the hospital on hearing the news. More information on this will be let out by Koimoi as we get to know more.

Meanwhile, the actor’s publicist informed Koimoi that – Mr Khan had a minor accident on the sets while shooting. He has a minor injury and has got the necessary medical aid. Mr Khan is absolutely fine now. Thank you for all your wishes.

SRK-Salman’s Share A Warm Hug Yet Again At Star Guild Awards

The last time they showed the warm gesture towards each other, we screamed Encore! And here they are, at the HUG again. It was more than just cordial; it is how old friends work out their issues. And the affection was simmering from both sides.

At the occassion of the Star Guild Awards held in Mumbai yesterday, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khanrepeated their hug stunt for the audiences yet again. The two were seen last Eid at an Iftar party ending their 5 year old war.

This time with Salman Khan donning the role of the host of the prestigious Awards Show second year in a row, he showed a definite move to end his and SRK’s animosity. Apparently Salman and SRK indulged in some playful bantering as well and the former even managed to get SRK say Jai Ho!

SRK, Deepika & Farhan Bag Best Actor Trophies At The 20th Annual Screen Awards

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone outshone the rest as the two managed to come out as neat winners at the 20th Screen Awards’ evening. Director Rohit Shetty surely must have been elated as both SRK and Deepika bagged the top awards (Best Actor and Best Actress) of the evening in the popular category for his film Chennai Express. King Khan still rules the hearts of his audiences and Deepika Padukone is zooming into being the queen of the industry with her success.

Farhan Akhtar however managed to match up by bagging the Best Actor Award for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Deepika held on to her Best Actress’ trophy for both Ramleela and Chennai Express.

SRK was extremely humbled by the honor as he said, “Thank you for the popular choice award. I will work harder, be inspired and try to do my best Inshallah, not only for the company (Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd) but also my children. Thank you.”

However, the real prize for him was the acknowledgement of the work Red Chillies’ VFX did on the superhero flick Krrish 3. He went ahead and said, “Most proud of the Red Chillies VFX award, I think they are very hardworking. The work they do is very different and difficult in this country. So I’m very very proud of it. Congratulations to Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan and thank you for giving us the opportunity to work on the film.”

Amongst the other top awards, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra bagged the Best Film award for his biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag abd Shoojit Sircar won the Award for Best Director for his brilliant film on the Lankan Civil War,Madras Cafe.

Parineeti not signed opposite Shah Rukh for Fan

All speculations can well be put to rest. Parineeti Chopra would have to wait before she is seen on the big screen with Shah Rukh Khan. Though ever since the announcement of Fan, there were rumours of the two being paired opposite each other, unfortunately this has turned out to be, well, just plain rumours.

“In fact if you see an official communication from Yash Raj Films around the cast of Fan, there is no mention of a leading lady out there. Otherwise they never keep any suspense around their cast and crew. If Parineeti was in the film, her name would have been announced,” informs our source.

Rumours started catching heat especially after it was announced that Fan would be directed by Maneesh Sharma. Since the filmmaker’s last two films – Shuddh Desi Romance and Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl – have both featured Parineeti while producer Aditya Chopra too has shown great faith in the young woman’s talent, it seemed like a given that Parineeti would now get her chance and graduate to the Shah Rukh starrer.

“It is not happening though. Parineeti is anyways working on three films – Hasee Toh Phasee, Daawat-E-Ishq and Kill Dil – which will keep her engaged till end of year. Let’s see, perhaps she would get to do something with the superstar in 2015 or beyond,” says a close associate.

When contacted, Parineeti too denied her involvement with Fan. “No, I am not in Fan. There is not even an iota of truth to the rumours making the rounds,” she said.
